MACAULAY, Angus Archibald

August 25, 1932 (Edmonton, Alberta) - May 21, 2021 (Cranbrook, British Columbia)


With sadness we announce the passing of Angus Macaulay at his home on May 20, 2021, in Cranbrook, B.C.


Angus was born in Edmonton, Alberta on August 25, 1932, and spent his younger years in Vancouver, B.C., before moving to Kamloops, B.C., and then to Cranbrook, B.C., for a 35-year career with Columbia Brewery. Angus was a long-standing member of the Cranbrook Golf Club where he enjoyed many rounds and laughs with the boys. He was also an avid curler. Angus found his most joy when he was with family or tending to his yard.


Angus is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Jean, son John (Kayla), daughter Megan Wickes (Vince), grandchildren Michael (Shaina), Dawn Macaulay, and great granddaughter Eleanor Macaulay, sisters Mary Baxter and Pat Macaulay.


He was predeceased by his sister Claire Brandolini and brother Neil Macaulay.
